Haitian Students Arriving in Palm Beach County Need Clothing and Supplies
Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County, Inc. (CISPBC) is receiving requests from local schools for clothing and school supplies for Haitian earthquake survivors. As children are brought from the disaster-torn country into Florida, the first thing they want to do is go to school.

CIS of Palm Beach County Receives Bank of America Neighborhood Builder Grant for $200,000
Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County is delighted to announce the award of a $200,000 Neighborhood Builder Grant from The Bank of America Charitable Foundation.
Bank of America is donating more than $2.8 million in unrestricted funding to 14 Florida nonprofits through its Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County, Inc. was one of two local recipients of the Neighborhood Builders award category in Palm Beach County.
This award was in recognition of Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County's commitment to quality services for students, programs and leadership in Palm Beach County. This generous grant includes the opportunity for the Executive Director and an Emerging Leader to participate in a strategic leadership development program with other nonprofit leaders from around the United States.
