The Economic Impact of Communities In Schools
An economic impact quantifying the costs and benefits of Communities In Schools model.
Communities In Schools contracted with EMSI to specify its economic and social returns to society through a rigorous third-party investment analysis.
The purpose of this important next step is to quantify the return on investment of Communities In Schools' 113 high school-serving affiliates in its
network to taxpayers, businesses, and students. The analysis also shows the economic benefits when local affiliates go from implementing parts of
the Communities In Schools model in some of their high schools to full implementation in all of their high schools.

P&G GIVE Education
As part of Procter & Gamble's commitment to help children in need get off to a healthy start, receive access to education and build skills for
life, GIVE Education is partnering with Communities In Schools to help keep more than one million kids in school. The P&G GIVE Education program
helps fight the nation's dropout crisis by inspiring consumers to help through simple actions and everyday purchases.
On Sunday, July 31, a special "School the Nation" brandSAVER
coupon booklet will be distributed in newspapers across the country, featuring information on Communities In Schools. For each brandSAVER coupon redeemed, P&G will donate a portion to Communities In Schools – allowing
consumers to give back, while saving money.
In addition to a national television ad promoting the work of Communities In Schools and a Facebook campaign,
P&G will also make significant product donations. Wal-Mart stores will help with the product distribution by ensuring that the P&G products are
delivered to local CIS affiliates who will help disseminate the products to kids and families who receive CIS services.

Communities in Schools engages volunteer mentors from area businesses
When Communities in Schools of Palm Beach County (CISPBC) Executive Director Margaret Bagley got involved with the Superintendent's Task Force to
Increase Graduation and Decrease Suspensions, she had a pretty good idea of what she wanted to accomplish. While the overall plan development of the
Task Force continues–Ms. Bagleys vision of a youth empowerment initiative is well underway. A Youth Empowerment Symposium is set for Saturday,
April 9, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Forest Hill High School which will jump-start an effort to "grow" and develop a network of teen peer mentors
across the district.

CIS of Palm Beach County Receives Bank of America Neighborhood Builder Grant for $200,000
Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County is delighted to announce the award of a $200,000 Neighborhood Builder Grant from The Bank of America Charitable Foundation.
Bank of America is donating more than $2.8 million in unrestricted funding to 14 Florida nonprofits through its Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County, Inc. was one of two local recipients of the Neighborhood Builders award category in Palm Beach County.
This award was in recognition of Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County's commitment to quality services for students, programs and leadership in Palm Beach County. This generous grant includes the opportunity for the Executive Director and an Emerging Leader to participate in a strategic leadership development program with other nonprofit leaders from around the United States.
